Description
Intro
The WAGO 221 series are popular lever‑style wire connectors, but the exposed lever can snag or be accidentally triggered, releasing your wires. These 3D‑printed sleeves (“gloves”) slide over the connector from the wire side and cover the lever, preventing it from opening unintentionally. The design is dimensioned around the 221 series (412, 413 and 415 variants). A small front stop inside the sleeve keeps it from sliding too far forward and holds the lever securely.
Filaments:
ABS or clear PC( printing with the entrance of the connector onto the bed and at low speeds) are recommended.
Special print instructions: Print the part appear on the .3mf so the layers run across the width of the sleeve. Use Tree Support, On build plate only. Recommended settings: 0.2 mm layer height, 5 Top and Bottom layers, 20 % infill, 0.4 mm nozzle.
Assembly
Prepare your WAGO 221 connector by wiring it as usual.
Orient the sleeve with the open end facing the wires.
Slide the sleeve onto the connector from the wire side until it stops; the internal front cross‑bar should rest against the clear plastic front of the connector.
Verify that the lever is fully covered and cannot be accidentally lifted. To remove, pull the sleeve back toward the wire side.
