Description
For the past several years, I have helped with an annual neighborhood Halloween activity at our church. I am in charge of a carnival game room that is exclusively lit with black lights on UV reactive objects and surfaces. I wanted to add a few more moving parts, obstacles and points of interest in my mini-golf game. So, I made these obstacles/bumpers with motor a mount for the Chancs Motor TYC-50 - Enclosure and Junction Box which I recently posted ( https://www.printables.com/model/1436977-chancs-motor-tyc-50-enclosure-and-junction-box-usi ). The motor will have an attachment on top where 6 ghosts will be suspended by wires, and they will rotate in a circle, dragging on the ground to possibly impede a mini-golf putt.
There is enough space underneath the motor to house the wrapped up power cord and switch. I used Velcro straps to manage those; and I will connect the unit to power using extension cords. I adhered Velcro for carpets on the bottom surface so that the obstacle can be positioned and repositioned easily, but will remain in place when a golf ball bumps into it.
Printing Info:
NOTE: The ghost image on the face of the obstacle/bumper is a sticker that I printed and applied, then sprayed with a clear coat. It is not part of the model's design. I used a sticker because most white paper is UV reactive (most white filament is not, or at least it doesn't glow much), and I don't own an AMS unit – and even if I did, that would waste a ton of filament to print this in multicolor on a single nozzle set-up. The green eyes are painted/blobbed-on with UV reactive glow paint, which glows even more than the white sticker ghost.
