Description
Yuanley YS25-0402 is an inexpensive 4x 2.5G Base-T + 2x 10G SFP+ Ethernet Switch that tends to run hot when SFP+ 10G modules are used.Â
This shroud directs air from a 40mm square x 10mm thick blower. I purchased a couple from Amazon to adapt my 2.5G mini-PC to my 10G switch that can't speak 2.5G Base-T natively. Another purchaser left a review that identified a blower fan that could fit inside the case but the ventilation control was merely masking tape to prevent air from drawing in from the near side of the case rather than flowing over all the electronics.
I designed this shroud to allow the fan to force are through more of the vent holes and block the ones that have component interference issues preventing all the rows from being used. The fan is positioned where it draws in air from over the SFP+ slots. I printed the shroud in PETG because of the temperature the switch can reach. Cyanoacrylate (Super Glue) was used to attach the fan and shroud to the metal case.
