The rear-view camera on the Land Rover Discovery Sport is positioned so far forward that you cannot see the tow bar. This new bracket fixes the problem by shifting the camera module back by 15mm. Just enough so that you can finally see the tow bar / trailer hitch while backing up.
Fits the Land Rover Discovery Sport 2015-2019, maybe also the past 2019 Facelift model, I don't know. Has to be tested.
Instruction:
- Open boot lid.
- Remove cover of inner boot lid handle by gently levering it out with a screwdriver.
- Unbolt boot lid handle. Two long screws with 8mm Hex Head.
- Remove boot lid closing switch and unplug wire.
- Remove inner boot lid cover by gently pulling away. It is held in place by lots of plastic rivets and metal clamps. I was able to remove it without breaking something.
- Remove four M6 nuts that hold the rear view camera cover in place from the inside.
- Remove rear view camera cover by gently pulling it down from boot lid.
- Remove camera bracket that is held in place by two Philips screws.
- Remove camera module out of camera bracket. Camera module is held in place with a plastic cover.
- Replace existing camera bracket with new. 3D-printed one.
- Slide camera module in new, 3D-printed bracket. Secure camera with 3D-printed clamp and M3x10mm screw.
- Assemble everything back together.
