Description
I was tired of wasting a lot of time cranking up the car jack when swapping the tires on my girlfriends car. Of course I came up with the idea to use the cordless screwdriver, right when I was about to start the work and all shops were closed. I did have a 13mm socket that did fit into the screwdriver, but not the needed 17mm socket. So I quickly designed this adapter, printed it in 45 minutes on my Prusa Mini from PETG and was amazed how much torque it could withstand. At one point, the screwdriver did shut off, right when it had lifted the (heavier) front side of the car. The adapter does not show any noticeable signs of wear.
This part needs to be strong. Use many perimeters (I went for 8 perimeters) and use 100% infill. I used PETG, so I can't say about PLA, but chances are that PLA works as well. (Yes, I know that the sheering force is right on the layer-to-layer plane, but what shall I say… it was strong enough for me.)
Simply print the part in the uploaded orientation.
