Description
In the course of building a custom ukulele case, I needed a set of case corners for a project that had no right angles on the top and bottom surfaces. This parametric case corner is the result. Using Fusion 360, the corner has two faces at 90 degrees to a third face whose angle between the first two faces is parametric. The corner is labeled with the set angle on the inside of the top/bottom face. The holes are countersunk for the wood screws I had on hand (8mm top, 4.5 mm major thread diameter, chamfered/bugle), but are likewise customizable.
The labels are made using the free ParametricText add-in. I have tested the geometry to work correctly between 75 and 179 degrees for the corner angle. Below 75 degrees, the fillet diameter needs to be changed and the ParametricText extends beyond the square faces. At 180 degrees, the lofts between the square faces break down.
I have provided STL files for 90, 100, 110, and 160 degree angles.
