Description
This is my second attempt at a spartan themed cat helmet. My first one is being printed out as we speak, but I realized that the helmet is going to press on my cats' whiskers. There should be some space, but I wanted to make a second version that should offer a little more space around the whiskers and eyes.
In this version, I have attached three models to consider. One has the plume (lophon) attached and it is a little less aggressive. The second option is plume-less helmet with a separate plume. This plume is a bit more aggressive. My thought was that it will allow the helmet and plume to be made of different materials or colors. It also allows the helmet to be printed in a 150x150x150 volume in one piece.
As before, please be very careful with this helmet if you do place it on a cat's head - this is just for fun and I don't want an animal to be hurt. be careful with their eyes and be ready to remove it very quickly. Your cat could get hurt if it tried to dart away or wriggle out of the helmet.
Edit - I made a helmet stand for this model (just incase your cat decides not to wear this helmet 24/7 ;) Also, as I am quite new to making 3d models and I am using FreeCad, I did not realize that I could increase the number of polygons in an exported 3d model. I have updated the model to have a smoother look. I kept the old model as the low polygon count actually contributes to a hammered metal look.
