Description
This model is open source and available on OnShape, link here - I created it because I needed an enclosed TP dispenser, otherwise my menace of a cat would destroy all the TP rolls.
All parts have a flat side that can be used to print without supports
The only exception is the main body (named “case”) which needs support on the screw holes; the case also generates a tall thin wall that can be knocked out while printing. I paused the print at regular intervals to add some tape to stabilize that pillar; This can be improved by adding a thin sacrificial wall in the main big hole - which I did not do because I'm lazy - important: the case is very tall, print it with at least a 15mm brim or else it can be easily KO'd from the print bed.
The magnets used on the lid are 2mm x 6mm
Screw holes have a 11mm diameter head hole and 6mm diameter shaft rail hole
The Left and Right lids should be glued in place with CA glue
Optional: This model has some guide fingers that stop the paper from going back inside the case when the TP roll gets smaller, this makes life much more easier, at the cost of some setup time when restocking TP.
Optional: Add some PVC wood wrap to the top lid for some aesthetic points
Warning: These models needs a few improvements (comments are on onshape), namely:
That said, the print in my pictures does not have those changes and it works just fine after some manual post processing
