Description
This is a replica of the speaker grille for the 90's stereo system by Philips magnavox, this is for models FW-560 to FW-775. It's not a perfectly exact replica but it's very close.
It prints in two halves so it will fit on most print beds, you'll have to glue them together after printing, I recommend jb weld plastic bonder epoxy for the most secure bond. I modeled locating pins that makes it easy to put them together for gluing.
NOTE: When I printed mine the prongs that hold it in the speaker box were in the wrong locations so I had to cut mine and remelt them in the correct place, but I did go back and remodel the locations in this newest version so it should be correct but I haven't tested*
SPEAKER CLOTH:
I used gray stretchy speaker grille cloth by "Findufa" on amazon and attached it to the speaker grille with super 77 spray glue by 3m.
CENTER EMBLEM:
I sanded the center emblem, sprayed it with filler primer, sanded again then painted with aluminum color spray paint by duplicolor. I then cut the Philips Magnavox lettering with my cricut vinyl cutting mechine and stuck it on the emblem.
PRINT SETTINGS:
PETG or equivalent strength recommended but any hard filament should work
supports needed
I like to print .28 layer height for highest strength and speed
