Description
The garbage can lasted 9 years so I shouldn't complain, but a new one costs $60. All that was broken was a tiny plastic clip attached to the opening rod. I glued the pieces back together and copied it in Onshape as best as I could. Printed the resulting STL at high quality .12mm layers, and 100% infill with PLA. No supports needed, but used a 4mm brim. 15 minutes after the print I had the new clip installed and am now happily opening and closing my garbage can with the foot pedal. Seems strong enough so hopefully it will last at least a year then I can happily print another.
