Description
FlashForge AD5x PTFE lined side access covers. Replaces the FlashForge enclosure kit IFS opening trim.
This is an additional option to my swingarm guide system. This reduces the gap in the side panel and lined with PTFE tube for friction free gliding. I also made this a standalone modification without the swingarm.
If using this with my swing arm assembly, just print this outside part with PTFE tubing. No need for this Inner Part. If you are installing this as a standalone modification without the swingarm, you will need both of these parts.

Assembly Instructions:
Inner Part: Carefully remove the built in support material from the inner part. Install heated inserts into the inner part from the side facing the inside of the machine (opposite side of the support material)
Outer Part: Cut PTFE tubes to about 142 mm in length. They need to be long enough to reach across the entire opening but not stick out beyond the hole where you insert them. Try to straighten the tubing as much as possible. Slide the tubes into the holes in the end of the outer trim part. Push the tube all the way across the opening and into the holes on the other side. Use a pen or tweezers to push the tubes past the recess in the part to clear the side panel when installing. The side panel of the enclosure will lock them in. Do not push them so much that the middles bow.
Unload all of the filament. Disconnect the ptfe tubes from the IFS unit. Use the simple little tool from Lysander to aid in removing the tubes. The release collets take firm force to unlock.

Remove the standard FlashForge enclosure slot trim. Hold the inner trim part in place from the inside of the printer. Place the outside trim part up to the outside of the slot, with the tube holes facing the rear. Use a helper, tape or reach over the top with some fingers (low top version) to hold the two parts together as you start the M3 x 14mm screws. Tighten the screws sandwiching the enclosure panel between them. Reinstall your ptfe tubes paying attention to your best order to neatly fan out the tubes.
