Description
The big monsters in The Mire will kill you quickly. It’s these little guys that get inside your head. They’ve mastered their stinking home by rising above the grasping mud on those long, spindly stilts. First, you don’t see them, you hear them: a strange, hollow, piping sound cutting through the fog—that’s their war music, coordinating the hunt. Then the music stops. You see a flicker of movement in the reeds, ten feet up, and a wooden mask. That pan pipe isn’t an instrument anymore; it's a poison dart blowgun tipped with Jacaré venom. You'll hear the sharp *thwip*, and then the piping starts again from all around you. The tribe's coming to collect their dinner.
