Jacare Emboscada Monster Beast - The Eightpints The Mire

In the Mire, you learn to mistrust stillness. You'll be poling your skiff, see a gnarled old log, and think nothing of it. Then the log will open a jaw wider than your boat, and your day is over. The Jacaré doesn't hunt; it is the trap. It's a patient, living snare of bone and violence, a living lesson in the swamp's brutal curriculum. My advice? Poke every log with a very long stick. If the log screams and tries to bite the stick, it's not a log.
