After many hours of analysis, rebuilding, simulation, and testing, my modified StealthBurner for the Rapido 2 High Flow Hotend is finally here!
I modified the air ducts, the mount for the Rapido HF hotend, and the Stealthburner front so that the component cooler airflow now reaches the printed part without turbulence.
To achieve this, the front, back, and Stealthburner have been redesigned from scratch. They are compatible with Stealthburner extruders (here the Clockwork2). However, due to the modular Stealthburner design, it should also be compatible with all other suitable extruders.
I have attached two screenshots of the airflow simulation results, as well as a picture of my before/after tests with Shuriken. They were done with the same G-code and filament. I took pictures of a 3-second layer time print, which was right after the overhangs were clearly visible.
The printing and assembly process is similar to that of the original Stealthburner and the Rapido HF Hotend. Be careful when installing the hotend LEDs. The spring is very delicate and the space is minimal—try not to break it off.
