Ducati 900ss air filter guard/coil mount for use with pod filters

Fits 1991-1998 Ducati Super Sport with pod filters (no airbox).

With the airbox is removed and pod filters installed, anything being thrown from the front tire has a direct shot to the filters. This started out as a plate to protect the filters but with the airbox removed the battery box and coil mount is gone too. Putting the coils here simplifies building a new battery box. (Though I have one of those posted here also)

Rear of plate is bolted to the stock airbox mounts. Front of plate is zip tied to the frame.

There are two versions - long and short. The difference is the short version stops at the frame tube to allow a regulator mount that goes above the tube. The long version extends over the tube so the regulator mount can't extend any higher than the tabs on the frame.

I'd say that in general if you have a regulator mounted in the stock position, the short version is the one you want.
