Description

This is an adjustable jig guide for zero point printing on the Eufymake E1 UV printer. Due to the mat being the guide point for the zero point adjustment, and the mat is placed by a human, it it not always in the exact same spot. This guide uses four M3x6mm socket cap screws to give full adjustability for fine tuning the zero point printing calibration. The easiest process I have found is this:

  1. Open the Eufymake Studio software and choose the mini bed as your bed

  2. Change to zero point alignment

  3. create 2 very thin 3x50mm squares from the shapes panel

  4. flip one to directly vertical and one directly horizontal

  5. place them directly in the corner and place each at 0,0 placement

  6. make sure and do a zero point calibration and have it be successful

  7. on your mini bed, place 2 pieces of blue painters tape basically covering the guide lines in the bottom right hand corner where the green corner is giving full coverage of there the lines will be printed

  8. print the 2 “lines” in either black or white, whatever is easier for you to see

  9. place the guide on the bed with the wider section on the right hand side of the bed. this is much easier if you remove the bed and place it on a desk or table.

  10. using a hex driver, adjust the screws in the jig until you have the lines fully visible with as little of a gap as you can see between the guide and the lines

After you have adjusted the screws, you can remove the painter's tape an continue using the bed as you would with snapshots, but if you need to place a jig or something else on the bed to do a zero point print, simply slip the guide over the bed and make sure the screws contact all 4 points and place your item on the bed. If you placed the lines a little bit outside of the box in step 5 (thus the -0.5 placement) you should have a clean, solid guide to be able to get your item set at 0,0 origin.

If at some point in the future you need to change or move the mat, simply repeat the process with the tape and lines to print the new 0,0 position after you do a zero point calibration and adjust the screws to compensate for not getting the mat in the exact same location as it previously was.

Hopefully this will be helpful to a few of you out there that want to use your jigs with zero point alignment for doing multiple items at once….or you simply want to have a solid 0,0 for aligning a single item.
