Description
After seeing how expensive the "Brick" focus assistant and app blocker was, I came across Foqos, an open source version. This model is meant to mimic the form factor of the Brick device, but to be used with Foqos. This model requires the installation of an NTAG215 or similarly sized (1"x0.03" – 25mm x0.8mm) NFC chip.
NOTE: This will not work with the Brick app, and will require some knowledge of iOS shortcuts to get functional without opening the Foqos app to scan the chip.
Pack of 50 NFC Chips: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0932D8C3V?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1
To correctly print, the model should be oriented with the top face on the build plate, and a pause added at the final layer of the NFC pocket to install the embedded NFC chip before resuming the print.
This NFC chip can be set up to work with the open source Foqos app: https://www.foqos.app/
This is an original design to make use of the Foqos software, I am not affiliated with the dev team, just a supporter of open source projects and making them accessible to those who do not know 3D modeling.
