This, right here, is the Mire's beating heart. It's not one big, obvious monster that'll get you. It's the whole damned place. The air is so thick you can drink it, and the silence is so loud it rings in your ears. Every one of those gnarled roots is an ankle-breaker, a perfect piece of difficult terrain. The trees? They're not trees. They're watchtowers for Mire-Screamers and Stilt-Stalkers. And the water... never, ever trust the water. You're not just walking through a swamp; you're walking through a hundred patient, muddy ambushes.
