U Brackets solve following issues on the original Monorim design:
Bearings destruction: Bearings are made for rotational load in radial direction. The Monorim faces some axial loads while also never making a single turn in its lifetime (Bearings rotate not even 20°!) Replacing it with self lubricating bushings (Material pairing Brass to Steel) minimizes this issue by a lot.
Stability issue: The monorim is made out of 4 individual arms that can move against each other. This is breaking the bearings quite fast and also leads to substantial side wobbles.
The clearance to the shock is very tight. Im using a Rockshox Monarch R, however DNM 36 RC can work only when the valve looking backwards. Make sure to test it with a 3D print first!
