You'll eventually stumble upon these ancient sentinels, the hollowed-out remains of trees that have stood for millennia. This isn't just a dead stump; it's a Glow-Wood Stump. It's been infused with raw Juice from deep beneath the Mire, and now it serves a new purpose. See the pulsing purple light within? That's not just pretty; it's a beacon, a heart. It draws the more... magical creatures of the swamp, like the Shimmer-Moths and the Root-Wisps. The pygmies often use these sites for their rituals, claiming the Glow-Wood focuses their crude magic. Don't mistake its beauty for safety; anything drawn to its light is likely dangerous, and anything protecting it is even more so. It's a lighthouse in a sea of mud, and everything that hunts in the dark knows where to find it.
