Description
A brush attachment that secures onto the end of the Ridgid 2-½ inch “car nozzle” accessory for their shop vaccuums, and it was made to help scrub dirt and sand out of vehicle carpets at work. I'm a geotechnical soils engineer, so our work vehicle interiors get dirty very quickly.
The brushes are intended to be printed with flexible filaments, such as TPU or TPE, and no supports should be necessary. The prints pictured were using 98A TPU, but I'm sure it would work fine with a 95A or even softer material. The fit is somewhat tight, and the locking tab engages with the first detent on the nozzle.
There are three versions of the brush attachment:
I tend to prefer the angled brush, since it allows me to use a more neutral hand and wrist position when vacuuming out our work vehicles.
Note: Sorry for the somewhat poor quality of the prints in the pictures. The TPU filament I had to use was a bit moist, so there was a good bit of stringing between the bristles and a small amount of blobbing in general around the prints.
