Description
BOM: Printed with ROSA3D High Speed PLA Signal Violet
This is a compact side connector for T-slot aluminum profiles, designed to join two or more extrusions directly side-by-side by sliding into their adjacent rail slots.
The connector provides a tight friction-fit hold without screws, allowing fast and reversible frame expansion or reinforcement.
It’s ideal for creating wider profiles or rigid modular structures from multiple smaller sections (e.g., combining 4040 profiles to form larger assemblies).
The model is compatible with most T-slot systems — including 4040, 4080, and 12040 extrusions (Bosch, Item, OpenBuilds, Motedis, etc.).
Because internal slot tolerances may differ, you can tune the fit by ±0.1–0.2 mm in your slicer for perfect alignment.
You can also scale its Z-axis height to adjust the connector’s length — the default is 12 mm, which provides a solid and balanced hold.
Connects two T-slot profiles side-by-side
Works with 4040, 4080, 12040, and similar sizes
Friction-fit — no screws or tools required
Printable flat, supports not needed
Adjustable length (Z-axis) for stronger joints
Maintains smooth profile alignment
Easy to install and remove
Joining profiles edge-to-edge or creating wider sections
Frame extensions for CNC, laser, or 3D printers
Modular enclosures and gantry reinforcement
Building custom extrusion-based systems
Material: PETG / ABS (preferred for durability)
Layer Height: 0.2 mm
Infill: 60–100 %
Supports: None
Orientation: Flat on bed
Works with T-slot 4040 / 4080 / 12040 systems
Slight tolerance adjustment ±0.1–0.2 mm may be required
Not ideal for Misumi extrusions
