Description
I made this model a while back, to hold floral tubes in which to propagate plants by cuttings. But then I wanted something more space-efficient, and something I could hang from a hook if desired.
This is just a big block with 13 holes in it, sized for this style of floral tubes. I attached a sketch of the dimensions I found these tubes to have - this is the size of tubes that this model is designed to accommodate. The tubes stick out the top a little bit, so you can easily grab them to check on the roots, and/or add water. There are drainage holes in the bottom of each well.
There are also 4 holes passing through the whole block, which are designed to accept a long loop of sting. This way, you can hang the whole thing up on a hook on the wall.
Both this design and the linked design have the advantage of keeping the roots in the shade while the plant is in the sun. This I find cuts down on the growth of algae or whatever cloudy mats like to form on the bottoms of my cuttings.
I am also explicitly asking that you don't sell prints of this thing or otherwise profit from it (see noncommercial license). I designed this on my own time and I'm happy to see others print this for their own use, or as gifts.
