Description
To celebrate National Engineering Day, I created a giant LEGO inspired tree decorated with ornaments inspired by some of my favourite engineers. National Engineering Day is all about recognising the people who keep the world moving, the problem solvers who look at challenges and say “right… let’s figure this out.” These decorations celebrate curiosity, creativity and the inventiveness at the heart of engineering.
Each ornament represents a different engineer and the area they champion:
• Roma Agrawal – A LEGO style spanner, representing her work in structural engineering and her brilliant ability to explain the science behind the structures that shape our cities.
• Ayo Sokale – A water drop, celebrating her work in civil engineering, flood management and protecting communities.
• Jessica Ashley – A crown, honouring her career in aerospace and pageant work and the confidence and positivity she brings to the industry.
• Estefannie – A playful makeup gun, inspired by her own makeup gun invention.
• Emily Calandrelli – A space helmet, marking her work as a science communicator and her achievement as the 100th woman in space.
For the best results:
• Print the flame and the visor in spiral vase mode for a smooth, single-wall finish.
• These are 6x scale
