Description
This is a customizable snap-fit pill box, perfect for organizing daily medication. I designed it to be printable in Glow-in-the-Dark PLA so it's easy to find in the dark!
This project includes 4 main versions of the lid, each featuring a different number of notches. This allows you to choose your preferred opening/closing "click" force.
To ensure a perfect fit on any 3D printer, each version is provided in 3 different tolerance files (0.1mm, 0.2mm, and 0.3mm).
In total, you are downloading 12 STL files to find the perfect one for your setup.
Choose the fit you prefer:
V1 (16 Notches): Provides a very secure, tight fit. (Hard to open, good for travel).
V2 (8 Notches): A standard, secure "click" fit. (Recommended).
V3 (4 Notches): A lighter fit. Easy to open and close.
V4 (No Notches): A simple, smooth friction-fit version with no clicking mechanism.
This refers to the gap between the lid and the box.
0.1mm Tolerance: For highly calibrated printers. This provides a very precise, tight fit. (Confirmed working on my printer with PLA).
0.2mm Tolerance: The standard tolerance. If you are unsure, I recommend you print this file first as a test.
0.3mm Tolerance: For printers that tend to over-extrude or if you want a guaranteed looser fit.
Example: The file V2_8-Notch_0.2mm.stl is Version 2 (8 notches) with the standard 0.2mm tolerance.
These are the settings I used for a successful print.
Filament: PLA (Prints beautifully with Glow-in-the-Dark PLA!)
Layer Height: 0.2mm
Infill: 15%
Walls: 3
Rafts: No
Supports: No (Designed to print without supports)
