Description
My Ford Ranger 2025 is a fleet model without built-in support for MagSafe chargers. The default space for a phone is fairly tight, especially for the iPhone 16 Pro Max with Otterbox case. The goal was a plate to hold the MagSafe puck and route the cable to the side to more easily connect to USB-C. The design of the plate narrows to the front to provide headspace for the bulky Otterbox case.
I'm in the process of creating several variations on this project (which will be uploaded over the next week as the iPhone 17 arrives next week):
Printing
No assembly required, but the frame may need to be ‘flexed’ slightly when routing the cable through the frame as it is a tight fit to ensure the cable doesn't creep out. The MagSafe puck is a press fit into the frame and seems to hold tight as the phone is removed.
I recommend this cable organizer as the puck cable is 1m: https://www.printables.com/model/800029-cable-organizer-cable-clip
