Description
Soon after getting my Core One I twice managed to inadvertently close the top vent which should remain open when printing PLA and PETG. Wasn't a good result! The slide moves very easily in my case, at least.
To prevent that I decided to create a very simple “lock” that can be inserted into any of the vent slots to prevent it from moving. The lock fits fairly snugly so there is no movement when printing. The model has space for two embedded 10mm x 2mm magnets so it can be stuck to the printer when you need the vent to be closed (e.g. when printing ASA).
At least with my magnets they aren't super strong. Mine hasn't fallen off so far but I would be sure to stick it some place where it can't fall and interfere with operations (which isn't really possible I think). Of course you can also just put it on the table and ignore the magnets.
The included 3MF file has pauses for magnet insertion.
