Description
Bracket for affixing dial indicator to AmScope ME580 scope. Mounts using existing M3 threaded holes. Works with dial indicator having a fixed shaft diameter of 8mm. I am using this one:

Prints without supports, etc. If you use STEP files, re-orient such that ‘top’ of bracket is on build plate. Thumbscrew hex side down. I used 5 perimeters, 25% infill for strength. STLs are exported in the correct orientation but untested--I used the STEP files.
PLA is OK, but subject to longer-term creep. I've tried to make the bracket as rigid as I can using the existing mounting holes (and without severely limiting stage movement). PCCF would probably be a better choice for creep, but I personally only need stability for a few seconds at a time to take a measurement…
The other hardware you'll need:
(2) M3 x 8mm bolts
(1) M5 x 12mm (or longer) bolt (4mm hex head with ~8.4mm diameter works with the thumbscrew)
(1) M5 nut (8mm is captured in the cutout)
(1) M5 washer, optional, ~9.8mm OD is what I used
To the other 2 or 3 people that may own this scope: enjoy! I figured I would upload just in case :)
