Description
There are many suggestions on what a good box for metal drills should look like, but none of the ones I found had all the requirements I was looking for.
It had to be a simple design, with clear indication of size, small drills from left to right and no sharp edges.
Here's my take on the design I was looking for.
The drill holder holds metric drills from 1 mm to 10 mm in 0.5 mm increments (19 drills in total). The holder can be used with or without the lid, but it stabilizes the drills and allows five locked positions, depending on the work at hand or when storing the box.
Designed to be printed without support and elephant-foot compensation - 2 perimeters and infill of 15% will work fine.
After printing the two parts can be assembled without the use of tools and are then ready for use.
If you want a clear reading of the text, a small amount of acrylic paint with a wash, will make the text stand out (as on the pictures), but this is optional.
Shown models is printed on Prusa MK3S+ and Prusa Mini+ in Devil Design PETG.
