Description
This is an adapter so one can use common 18650 LiIon cells instead of 26650 cells in a tubular receptacle.
It should be printed in vase mode.
I printed the one in the photos at 0.34mm layer height and 0.4mm perimeter thickness.
The cell fits tightly in the adapter and there is just a tiny bit of wiggle room in the flashlight that I printed this for.
Dimensions can easily be tweaked at print time in your slicer.
FreeCAD model is also available for your enjoyment.
I've based the idea for this model on another similar great design by zeroflow: https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/1584-liion-18650-to-26650-adapter
The main difference between the two is that my model is more flexible. It is more tolerant of variations in cell outer diameter and tube/pipe inner diameter.
If printed in vase mode even with regular PLA it is quite flexible and should adjust itself to fit your cell and your receptacle.
