Description

A springy, colorful button in a black box. Hallucinogenic feelings of weightlessness not included.

Alan Becker and his team made a really special video. Check it out here

By representing addiction with a simple button box, they were able to focus on the concept alone, without distracting debate over what addiction is for different people. If you want to start a conversation with your friends or your kids, you can bring the video into the real world with this 3D print, to illustrate the dependence and debilitation of addiction. If you or someone you know needs help, reach out. It's better together.

Instructions:
Print all 5 parts in the STL.

  1. Box (Black) (Low infill, maybe use lightning?)
  2. Button (Matte colors)
  3. 3 Springs (Any PLA is fine, it's no big deal)

Align the springs in the box, then carefully press the button down into place, making sure the springs fit into the button sockets as well.

The button can be removed with a gentle, firm pull.
Broken prints create small parts - not for small children.

Post a make!

Designed entirely in OpenSCAD. Makes use of DR2D's springs library
