Description

I created two storage trays that span the bottom of the left side of the Core One. They are held in place by magnets. Because of this the trays can be easily removed if the items are needed somewhere else in the work area. For example in the photo the right bin as spare nozzles and nozzle changing tools. I can easily pick it up and have it at the front of the printer while swapping nozzles.

Each tray has a spot for 8 12x2mm magnets but you don't have to fill all the spaces. I have found using 3 on the back of each and 2 on the side are sufficient. So for my 2 trays I used 10 total magnets. No other hardware is required.

To maximize the holding power of the magnets I chose to use a press-in approach rather than embedding them in the wall so they make direct contact with the metal frame. The spots for the magnets are designed so that no supports are required. If you allow the print to cool to room temperature you should be able to simply press them into place though of course you could use glue if yours don't fit well enough.

The dimensions are based on the side panel model posted by Prusa - thanks!
