Description
Replacement spool holder pin/caps are expensive if you buy them from a sewing store, cheap if you buy them online, but that won't help if you need one in ten minutes.
Here's a simple eight minute print that solves the problem of losing a cap just when you need it!
This one fits most machines although it was a little tight on one - scale it up or down on your slicer by a percent or two to get an exact fit. In practice it doesn't need to be tight, as the angle of the spool will keep it in place.
I've printed versions in PLA and PETG, and prefer the latter, but even after breaking the ends on a (too small) PLA version it still performed perfectly.
I have printed then in .28mm DRAFT mode, but prefer .15 layer height because of the small size of the print.
