Description
A tiny model but an effective solution to assist children in threading standard size plastic pony beads (6mm x 9mm) onto thin string and to prevent them from slipping off the "working" end. If you have children that like to do beading you know that you can secure one end for them by tying a bead to keep them from slipping off THAT end, but what about the end they hold and inevitably drop? Or if they drop the whole strand intact, but pick it up by the secured end only to watch their hard work slip off the UNsecured end?
This little needle securely hold the string simply with friction in the small slit and allows them good grasp to thread the bead over the barb, and then be confident the beads cannot slip off by accident. once complete a adult can simply detach the strong and tie it off, or to remove a misplaced bead, press the barb to back the bead off.
It may look “sharp” but it really isn, not more so than say a dull pencil so I think it's pretty safe. Printed in PETG at 0.08mm layer height, because of its thin dimensions and need to flex but seems plenty durable. I print off 5 at a time just in case. Enjoy!
