Description
here's a revamp of my previous 1:1 model A that was made in tinkercad. this one is very accurate as well as proportional! made in OnShape. Huge thanks to Marryfluffy2020 for help in testing parts!
self to note: don't expect the parts to work on a real model A siren. some parts were made for functioning rather than accuracy.
hardware:
15 M3 by 5 screws
2 M8 by 30 screws (make sure to use a nut! this will tension what position the horn faces)
1/2 " clamp for junction box
and a 775 12V DC motor.
put 2 M3 screws on the shaft of the rotor! this will secure it at best from torque.
plastic weld the 4ths horn sections if your printer is not big enough for a full size horn.
PRINT INFO:
rotor - 100% infill, turn the walls up to 1000 in slicer. or use supports.
stator: 50% infill
motor cover: any infill, this part is optional.
intake: 20% infill
outer horn: 100% infill
motor housing: 50% infill
spacers: 20% infill
mount: 90% infill for best reliability
i hope you have good experience with this model!! i would like to see your builds if possible, which can be done by posting in “makes and comments” or tag @TheModel2TOfficial on youtube!
