Description
This is a measuring tool for easily determining the Z-axis offset.
I wanted to level the print bed of my Core ONE and print the following model:
However, it is not easy to measure the distance with a caliper, so I printed this model to determine how uneven the bed is.
The model starts at 0.2 mm and increases by another 0.2 mm with each step. (See pictures)
Select Control > Calibration & Tests > 6 Z-Alignment and Calibration
When Completed, Select Control > Auto Home.
When the homing is completed, Select Control > Turn off Motors.
Measure the offset:
Measure the distance between Nozzle and Print Bed with the gauge.
Move the extruder to the left rod position and measure again
Move the extruder to the rear rod position and measure again
There should be the same distance at every point. If not: You need distance plates at the positions where you have an offset to the front right position.
Print in PLA, use the 0.10 mm FAST detail profile, no infill, no brim.
