Description

I recently installed a flashlight on my airsoft gun and started to solve the problem of how to protect it from mud and BB impacts. Transparent covers significantly reduce light and destroy the light cone. In the end, I decided on a hinged cover secured with shockcord.
I recommend printing with TPU/FLEX material. The cover then holds  perfectly on the body and absorbs even strong impacts well. However, the model will also work with PLA, PETG, ASB, ...

For my flashlight I use 25,5 mm diametr for ring and 30,5 mm diametr for cover. If you use flashlight with different dimentions, you can easily change dimensions by scaling up/down the model. If you have access to autodesk fusion 360 you can use .f3d file and change dimensions here. Or you can just text me and I will upload model with dimentions you want.

Assembly instructions:
1. Print all the parts. (If your flashlight has different dimensions, you can easily resize all the parts in Fusion 360 to fit your equipment.)

2. Put the ring a few centimeters behind the flashlight lens and secure it with one M4 screw and nut.

3. Thread the shock cord through the holes on the sides of the ring and loop it around the flashlight. (A loop is not necessary, but a longer cord will provide better flexibility).

4.  Thread both ends of the shock cord through the holes in the cap.

5. Tie knots at the end to hold everything in place.
