Description
A case for the Blurolls kit for the Core One. Should also work with the original fan/filter of the Core One or Mk4 enclosure. However, I was unable to test this.
I placed the opening for the fan at the bottom, as in the original. It bothered me that the other solutions here only go to the side and I sit in the draft.
I also wanted to use the entire filter area with reasonable effort and have the best possible fit so that as much air as possible is drawn out of the installation space.
I printed it in ABS, but PETG, ASA, or PCCF should also work.
I made another version with a hexagon pattern because I'm still having some problems with warping, and this improves the distortion somewhat. It looks nice too ;-)
Unfortunately, I couldn't design it so that it could be printed without any supports.
In addition to the kit, the following is required.
3x M3 nuts
3x M3x20 The screws in the picture are still too long. 20 mm is the correct size.
4x M3x14
Optionally, you can use thin sealing tape on the fan and on the housing facing the printer.
Assembly is simple. First, place the fan in the outer housing and feed the cable through the hole to the outside.
Now insert the fan insert, making sure that the cable is in the cable channel.
Secure with the M3x20 screws and nuts.
Place the filter in the spacer and insert it into the external housing. Ensure correct alignment. The upper hole in the filter spacer and the one in the external housing must be in the same position.
Finally, screw it securely to the housing with 4 screws.
