Use case

I made this housing for the RaspberryPi Zero 2W to act as a camera for PrusaConnect inside my new Prusa CoreOne. I am still working on the way to mount it inside the printer, but the housing itself seems to be worth publishing here for everyone that may want to use the camera directly on the Zero 2W.

Printing

As parts are very easy to print. Just print them in the uploaded orientation. The printing parameters are not critical. I used PETG, which helps with the self-cutting M2.5 screws, but I would guess that PLA works as well. 

Assembly

All you need are 4 screws M2.5 with a length of 10 to 12mm. I used M2.5x10. Once you have connected the flat cable from the camera to the RaspberryPi Zero 2W board, bent it around to have the backside of camera on the empty board side of the RaspberryPi. The the printed part called “plate” as an insulating layer between camera and board. The camera, with its 8.6mm side length, will fit nicely into the printed frame on the “plate”. Put the “front” part on top, wiggle everything in place and you are almost done. Put the “back” part on the side of the RaspberryPi board that has the components mounted to it and line everything up. Put the 4 M2.5x10 screws trough from the front and tighten them (they are self cutting into the back side).
