Carf Rebel Classic Landing / Running Lights (JP Gear)

This mount is designed to be glued or taped w/double sided tape to the JP Landing Gear. The light can be used in the extended AND retracted position.

You can chose to wire this light to a switch to be able to turn it on/off from your RX, or in my case I have it on any time the model is powered via a “Y” cable in the wing.

What you need:

2x Maglite replacement bulbs, which can be bought off ALI or Amazon for cheap. Their advantage is that they have an integrated voltage controller that take 6-24v, so it can be run off any 2S to 5S (possibly 6S) battery directly. And did I mention they are crazy bright ;-)

Solder the negative to the casing and the positive to the rear tip and run the wires through the rear of the mount, up the gear leg, into the wing and then either to your switch from your RX, or, in my case I just piggybacked the power from my aileron servos via a “Y” cable.

Slide the Bulb into the housing and then the cover over the front part. Depending on your print settings it may be tight enough not to require glue.

Print settings:

Here I definitely recommend something strong, such as Nylon or PC, or anything in that manner. Print it as fine as you can at 100% infill.
