Printing instructions

Made for a 1.5in electric tea lights.

Print outerwalls slowly at between 10 to 40 mm/s to alow the walls to stay relatvly clear or print at higher speeds for a more frosted look. Layer hights may vary as a higher .3mm layer height should have less of a lensing effect then the 0.06 layer hight of the picture shown above thus appearing clearer but this may come at the cost of strength. Stop the print to change the filament at about 38.455 mm or eyeball it to about the top of the fillet.

This can be made with most filaments that offer a clear variant but PCTG will most likely give you the best outcome due to its layer adhesion and its ability to flex even as a single wall to prevent breakage of the lamp. PCTG is also slightly clearer then PETG when printed. I recommend picking up some natural and Galaxy Black from 3D fuel. There are also some other semi transparent variants of the filament that may be interesting with a brighter light source.
