Description
The badge on my E91 looked terrible and I've decided to design and print a replacement, because this is what people with 3D printers do, right? This badge has a diameter of 82mm and is designed to replace the hood badge of a BMW E90, I am not sure if it will fit other models as well but you can let me know.
The model is intended to be printed with a single extruder, no MMU required. The parts are designed to print, assemble and glue at the end. The holder is the only part that requires support material on the print bed, all of the other parts don't require any supports. I have printed the parts at a layer height of 0.05mm in order to achieve a smooth surface of the dome, but it can be printed at any layer height, although you might have to sand the surfaces.
