Description
The Desktop "Craymore" Mine! A novelty claymore mine with compartment to store crayons. Essential equipment for any desk-bound Marine. This inert reproduction of a claymore mine contains a compartment for storing 10 crayons for drawing up your battle plans, writing evals, or emergency snacking.
This is a very rough draft. I found it intolerable that someone was selling STL files on Etsy for US$20 for a “claymore-ish” looking crayon holder that only held 2 crayons! Ridiculous. I'm releasing this under Creative Commons licensing - reproduction or modification for commercial purposes (I'm looking at you, Etsy person!) is strictly forbidden. Otherwise, modifications (improvements) are allowed with credit given to the original Thingiverse creator, nathanaelbanden, and myself - if using my version of the crayon insert.
Photos are of first printing, .20 Speed setting, using PolyLite PLA Pro in Army Green.
The crayon tray is a slip fit, holding 10 standard crayons. Future versions may improve the tolerance of both the insert and the crayon-holding tray. I also would like to improve the insert to be able to be partially opened, displaying your color sticks with pride! Also, I can already imagine the requests to increase the magazine capacity…
Enjoy!
