Description
orginally I wanted to make a sunken shipwreck for a fish tank.
i looked on the internet and read....
PLA can be used in fish tanks, but it's generally not recommended for long-term use because it can degrade in water and potentially leach chemicals
. To improve safety, you can use a food-safe, aquarium-safe epoxy resin to seal the PLA print, which will prevent it from breaking down and protect your fish. Alternatively, PETG filament is a more durable and naturally non-toxic option for long-term aquarium decorations.Â
so take care....
on we go....
First go was not so good, one crows nest fell off when I was removing the supports, so....
next go, I used 30% infill with 6 wall loops and with care removing the supports it survived...
I made 2 bases..... one upright and the other tilted so it looked like a wreck
