Description
Also known as the Honduran white bat, Ectophylla alba will bite the ribs of large leaves (like banana leaves) to cause the sides to droop to form a shelter against sudden downpours in tropical rainforests of Central America.
There are two poses: one at rest with the wings folded up, and another of about to start flying. The eyes can be printed separately (in black, you can separate them using your slicing software), though I opted to paint the nose and the ears in yellow enamel paint because it's just a lot easier and faster than using multifilament painting.
I also used cyanoacrylate to glue on faux fur because these little guys look like little puff balls in real life, and it's nearly impossible for me to sculpt that. They're also tiny, so despite the thicker-than-proportionally-accurate, the toes tend to snap off easily if you try to print these close to life-size (3cm-5cm from booper to pooper)
