Cabinet LED Light Mount for Roof Cargo Box

I needed to install an automatic LED light in my roof cargo box, so I bought one of these automatic cabinet lights. Although they come with a couple of metal plates with double-sided tape for magnetic mounting, the magnets are too weak to stay in place when the car is moving.

These brackets hold the cabinet LED bar by sliding it in from one side, gripping it firmly, and they can be fixed to the inside of the roof cargo box using double-sided tape.

They have a hole for placing the metal plate to improve the attachment, although I designed the brackets tight enough so that they stay securely in place without needing the metal plates or magnets.

The model consists of two pieces: one that acts as a stop on one side, and another that can be placed along the LED bar, either where the magnet is or in another position. It’s advisable to use a material that can withstand the temperatures the roof cargo box may reach; I used PETG.

? It measures 40 mm wide and 10 mm high, with slightly rounded edges (5 mm radius).

Naturally, it can also be used for other purposes where a stronger hold for the cabinet LED bar is needed.

Necesitaba colocar una luz LED automática en mi cofre de techo, así que compré una de estas luces automáticas para armarios. Aunque tienen un par de placas de metal con cinta de doble cara para sujetarlas magnéticamente, los imanes son muy débiles para mantenerse en su sitio cuando el coche el coche se mueve.

Estos soportes encajan la barra de LED de armario deslizando desde un lateral, sujetándola fuertemente y se pueden fijar con cinta de doble cara al interior del cofre de techo.

Tienen el agujero para colocar la placa metálica y ayudar a la fijación, aunque diseñé los soportes bastante apretados para que se mantenga bien sujeto sin necesidad de las placas metálicas y los imanes.

El modelo consta de dos piezas, una que hace de tope en un lateral, y otra que puede colocarse a lo largo de la barra LED, ya sea donde está el imán o en otra posición. Es recomendable utilizar un material algo resistente a las temperaturas que pueda alcanzar el cofre de techo, yo he utilizado PETG.

Naturalmente, se puede utilizar para otros usos donde se necesite una mayor sujeción de la barra de LED de armario.
