Description
I brought a new phone a while ago and I wanted to print a Tripod to take pictures of the night sky. However, I didn´t quite find anything that I wanted, so I decided to design my own.
This is my first project I upload so I don´t really know how well it prints with other printers and so on. The tolerances are relatively tight and quite a few parts need to fit so it´s not tooo easy to print I´d say. However, I would like some feedback, to know what I could improve.
NOTE:
Screws and Pins should be printed with 100% Infill, for better stability.
“Tripod_Ball-Joint_Base” should be printed vertically with the threading at the bottom (support on build plate).
“Tripod_Vice_Base” also vertically with the “Ball” at the top (support on build plate).
“Tripod_Leg” horizontally with support on build plate.
PETG/ABS… is recommend, it should work in PLA, however I don´t think it is the right Material for a Tripod. (I printed in Prusament PETG)
Also, you can use the hole in the Leg to put 1 or 2 Cent coins in it, to lower the center of mass and ultimately the stability of the Tripod.
