Description
Update – Version 1.2
Design Update: Added a lightning bolt icon to represent the power lines.
Improved Clearance ("Large Fit"): Transitioned from a "perfect fit" to a "large fit". The extra room for the rubber grommet and cables makes installation much smoother and more forgiving.
Visual Effects (Bridging Angle): By adjusting the bridging angle, you can create unique light reflections (see picture). Changing the line orientation makes the bolt look matte or shimmering/glossy compared to the rest of the cover.
Multi-Color & Sequential Printing:
If you have a single nozzle machine you have to do a sequential printing (export lightning gcode then body gcode from project file).
Smart Brim Calibration: Set brims at different distances (see picture) to avoid overprinting and prevent nozzle interference.
IMPORTANT: Slicer & G-code Notes for sequential multicolor
Manual Setup: set Lift Height (Z-Hop) to 0.6 mm - 0.8 mm and disable Ramping Lift to ensure the nozzle clears the first part during the second print. You have to disable Mesh Leveling on second print to avoid colisions so you have to find and comment this rows( add a ; at the beginning) only for the gcode of the body:

G29 A ; activate mblThis minor update improves printability and installation based on community feedback (Thank You!).
The zip-tie slot has been increased by 0.2 mm in both height and width, and the radius of the zip-tie tunnel has been enlarged to make insertion easier.
The overall depth along the Y-axis has been increased from 12 mm to 14 mm.
Thanks to these refinements, original Prusa 2.5 × 160 mm zip ties now slide in easily, and the part can be printed either horizontally or vertically without affecting fit or functionality.
This is a custom 3D-printed cover designed to cleanly mask the heated-bed cable entry on the Prusa Core One.
It fits perfectly into the existing rubber grommet and uses the same type of nylon zip tie (2.5 × 160 mm) used in the printer’s original assembly.
The cover also aligns the internal appearance of the Prusa Core One+ with that of the Prusa Core One L, giving the printer a more consistent and refined look.
I have included multiple customized versions of the cover.
They are functionally identical, with only aesthetic differences, so you can print the style you prefer.
With any of these versions installed, the inside of the printer looks much cleaner and more professional.
Print Settings
Material: PETG
Infill: 20% Gyroid
Supports: None
Orientation: As shown in the photos (v1.1 can also be printed vertically or with the front face flat on the build plate, as in previous versions )
Seams: Set seam position to rear (back side)
Installation Instructions
⚠ Safety first: Make sure the printer is powered off before beginning.
Turn off the printer.
Remove the metal cover that protects the cables behind the rear panel.
Remove the printer’s top cover to gain easier access to the cables.
Cut the original nylon zip tie (2.5 × 160 mm) that holds the cable sleeve in place.
Pull the protective cable sleeve inside the printer by about 3–4 cm, until the individual cables become visible.
Slide the cables through the printed cover one by one (see photos).
Then slide the protective sleeve back into the metal cover until it exits the wide opening.
Push the cables and sleeve back through the rear panel opening, returning them to their original position.
Bring the 3d printed cover near the rear panel.
From behind, align the panel holes with the cover holes for the new zip tie.
Insert a nylon zip tie (2.5 × 160 mm) through one hole and gently pull it out through the other.
Before tightening, adjust the cable sleeve so it sits straight and without wrinkles.
Tighten the zip tie firmly.
If everything looks correct and clean (see photos), close the printer back up as before.
Notes
Compatible with the original rubber grommet.
Uses 2.5 × 160 mm nylon zip ties, the same size used during the printer’s construction.
No modifications to the printer required.
Multiple aesthetic versions included — choose your favorite.
