Description
BOM: Printed with ROSA3D High Speed PLA Signal Violet
This model allows you to upgrade standard rolls of electrical (insulating) tape into easy-to-handle spools. By adding these side flanges, you protect the sticky edges of the tape from dust and make the roll much easier to hold and use.
The Problem with other models: Most printable tape spools are just smooth rings. When you try to pull the tape, the printed part often spins loosely around the cardboard core, which is frustrating.
The Solution: My design features small, sharp internal teeth that bite into the cardboard core. This ensures the flanges stay locked in place and rotate with the tape, not against it.
Specifications:
Size: Designed for standard 38mm inner diameter cardboard cores.
Scalable: If your tape has a different diameter, simply scale the X and Y axes in your slicer.
Quantity: You need to print 2 pieces for one roll of tape.
Printing Instructions:
Orientation: Print flat on the face.
Supports: None required.
Material: PLA, PETG, or ABS.
Infill: 15-20%.
