The LAN switch TL-SG 1008G from tp-link has been produced over quite a long time span now with only few variations between revisions. Having many of those loosely distributed among the different areas of my house, I thought christmas holidays would be the right time to tidy my LAN up and mount things properly to the wall. I presented here earlier my wallmount/drill template for tp-link routers and the next things to mount was the switches. So here is a wallmount which can also be used as a template that helps drilling the needed holes without wasting time for making a sketch on the wall.
When used as a wallmount, two weld-in-threads sized M4 can be fitted in the center holes for the two M4x8 countersunk bolts on which the switch is to be snapped. The correct length of the bolts to look out is by 3.7mm for the perfect force with what the switch snaps on. The other six differently shaped holes are for fixing the mount to the wall first (the two middle ones are sufficient when mounting to a stone or wooden wall, whilst the outer 4 provide a more secure hold when your walls are only made of plasterboard etc.) and fit a lot of different shaped screw heads with shaft sizes up to 4.5mm.
In order to make the final snap in montage of the switch a success, a hard barrier was included in the design to stop the sliding motion at the correct position.
